About the Grassroots Fund
The Grassroots Fund
The Grassroots Fund has been created in collaboration and through the ongoing financial contributions provided by Legacy 420, Mohawk Medicinal and Purity Concentrates. This Community fundraising was established to enhance and benefit the cultural and social needs of eligible members of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory - "Neighbors Helping Neighbours".
The Grassroots Fund will contribute funding to eligible individual members or organizations of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in the areas of:
· Groceries Gift Cards
· Sports and Recreation
· Educational Support
· Medical Equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.)
· Community Events
The Grassroots Fund is managed by a Committee comprised of owners and volunteers from the member businesses and have been selected for their community knowledge and the ability to make sound, unbiased decisions. The Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving each completed application, providing funding to those eligible members of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory that best meet the criteria and priorities of the Grassroots Fund.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
- Individual Members of the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory who have a valid Band Card
- Community Sports Groups (Minor and Elite Adult Teams)
- Community Organizations and Special Events
